An alleged carjacker rammed a stolen vehicle into a Brooklyn funeral home during a wake service Thursday evening, police said.
According to police and eyewitnesses, three suspects took a blue Dodger Hellcat at gunpoint and rammed the vehicle into the gate of the House of Hills Funeral Home on St. John’s Place in Crown Heights.
Police said the carjacking victim was not in the vehicle at the time of the accident and the three accused fled on foot.
According to the owner of the funeral home, no one was hurt.
“There were a lot of people who were out, kids you know from wake service,” Charles Wilkins told The Post.
“Family members and friends, they were out. So just by the grace of God… it could have been really bad. It could have been a tragedy.”
Police said the NYPD was taking the vehicle away at 10 p.m. as detectives searched for suspects.
