Kim Kardashian calls on comedy icons to help ahead of ‘SNL’ gig

Kim Kardashian’s preparation for “Saturday Night Live” is no laughing matter.

The reality-TV superstar, 40, is set to make his hosting debut on the live sketch show this weekend, and has called on a troupe of comedy legends to ensure his success.

According to TMZ, the Kardashians have asked Dave Chappelle, 48, Ellen DeGeneres, 63, Amy Schumer, 40, and James Corden, 43, to help prepare for the gig, and all the stars are eager to assist.

Production sources for the NBC program say the famous wits and ladies are giving Kardashian “tips on what to include in your monologues, some skits, and how to nail comedic delivery.”

Sources further told TMZ that Kardashian has been “exceeding expectations,” noting that she “has no experience in the comedy world.”

The “Keeping Up With The Kardashians” star will reportedly make fun of himself during his hosting duties, calling some of his jokes “self-deprecating.”

And while Kardashian may have called in heavy hitters to help her prepare, in public, she’s showing no sign of nerves.

In a promo for her “SNL” gig released Friday, Kardashian joked that hosting the coveted event would be “so easy.”

Appearing alongside cast member Cecily Strong, 37, and musical guest Halsey, 27, Kardashian quipped that as long as she’s the best-looking person on set, she doesn’t bother with big gigs.

Meanwhile, the bombshell is said to have another very famous name that helps her prepare for ‘SNL’ – her husband, Kanye West.

West has appeared as a musical guest on “SNL” on several occasions and is said to have “jumping thoughts” with his ex.

A source told ET, “Kim and Kanye are in a great place, and they always bounce off each other’s ideas and look to each other for advice and guidance, and this gig is no exception. “

And there’s pressure for the Kardashians to help boost the poor ratings of “SNL.”

According to ratings agency Nielsen, the premiere episode of Season 47 last week only garnered 3.5 million viewers.
