Is Kate Bishop Gay?

No, there is no evidence that Kate Bishop is a queer character in Marvel Comics or the Hawkeye series yet.

However, some fans believe that the MCU will change this to make the live-action franchise more inclusive and make Kate bisexual or pansexual.

In the comic book series Young Avengers, Kate says: “Am I the only straight in the group?” This clearly states the character’s preference in the comic’s narrative.

relationship history

If we take into account the current West Coast Avengers series, Kate Bishop is currently dating Johnny Watts aka Fuse. Kate’s former partner in that series also known as Noh-Var, aka Marvel Boy, appears to have entered into a relationship of her own with Kate’s current partner.

The Young Avengers have also expanded their preferences to see Kate engage in a one-night stand.

However, fans have pointed to the character’s close relationship with America Chavez – who will be introduced in another live-action series in the future.

The pair have a relatively close relationship in the comics and many fans believe this may have triggered an awkward relationship.

Kate Bishop and Yelena Belova’s ship

On an entirely different note, Marvel fans haven’t been shy about their desire to see Kate Bishop and Florence Pugh come together in Yelena Belova’s Hawkeye series.

While it is expected that Kate and Yelena will start out as enemies, many have already predicted that this could present other opportunities in the future.

Yelena’s choice in the MCU hasn’t been talked about yet, and fans may have to wait for the Young Avengers to arrive in the MCU to forge any relationship.
