Representative Maxine Waters claimed on Tuesday that her Twitter account had been hacked and that she would come for the person who did.
“I have been hacked and my Twitter account has been deleted. I know who did it. I’ll take care of it,” Waters (D-California) Deployed On his page shortly before noon.
His last tweet before that was at around 7 p.m. Monday, thanking NBA legend Michael Jordan for promoting inclusion in NASCAR through owning a team, saying, “Keep competing and keep fighting.”
But his tweet about deleting his account surprised users on the social media site, as all his tweets are still visible.
One user wrote, ‘But if your account has been deleted then……..
“Isn’t this your Twitter account,” asked another.
Waters’ page also continued to count the number of likes and retweets.
Another user asked the obvious.
“Lady you’re kidding, aren’t you? So you posted that your Twitter account has been deleted or your existing Twitter account has been hacked, how does it make sense???” said a supervisor.
